Reverse Repo Rate
The Reverse Repo Rate released by the Reserve Bank of India is the rate at which the RBI borrows money from commercial banks. The rate is another tool of monetary policy, with an increase leading to a transfer of funds to the RBI, and thus out of the banking system. A decline in the reverse repo rate is seen as positive (or bullish) for the Rupee while an increase is seen as negative (or bearish).
